Part 1 - How it started

"Happy birthday!" The all chanted at the same time. It was my 23rd birthday.
"I'm so happy for you, Ellie." They told me. "23... 23..." My mom hugged me. "Hey Ellie, is it okay if I bring a friend of mine? They're bored and they have nothing to do." Chris told me.
"Yeah, go ahead." I smiled. I've never felt this loved before. Especially on my birthday. I got a cake that said, "The cake is a lie." They put in front of me on the diner table, surrounded by my closest friends. Chris, Jamie and Ryan. My mom was also there, only for an hour, then she had to go back to hospital to work.
"Oh my god. EPIC." I said, very excited at my cake.
Jamie looked at me. "Well, eat it, aren't you gonna?" She winked.
I frowned. "But, I wanted to shove my face in the cake!"
She laughed and charged at me with a pie. It landed in my face. "That good enough?" Everyone laughed together.
The bell for the diner jingled. A man walked in. I locked eyes with him. He was freakin' adorable. He looked at me and smiled.
The man laughed. "Hey, Chris." He said, greeting Chris. The man walked up to me, my heart was beating. He wiped his finger on my face and licked it. "Coconut-cream?" He asked. I laughed along. His jaw dropped as he saw my cake. "We're getting married, you know that? I don't care if I don't even know your name. We are." I stared awkwardly. I swear he could hear my heart beating.
I wiped my face off. "Ellie." I said shaking hands with him.
"Toby." He replied. "Ellie... A beautiful name that matches your looks."
I laughed. "Bad pickup line is bad." Was that even supposed to get me interested in him?
I grabbed the knife off of the table and cut my cake, put it on a plate and handed it to Toby.
"Yum-a-dee-doo." Okay, that was a bit strange. He walked away and went to chat with my other friends.
"Wow..." Chris said. I continued cutting the cake.
"What is it?" I was concerned to him.
"You seem to be taking a liking to Toby." He smirked.
"Chris, you always mistake being nice to flirting. That's what I hate about you." I rolled my eyes.
"You hate something about me?!" He put on a fake sad face.
"Yes. Your mother." I thought about what I said. "No, no!" I patted him on the head. "I ment your father." I made a creepy face.
Toby cut us off. "Wow, you watch jacksfilms?"
I gave him a weird face. "Who?" I asked.
"Oh, nevermind.. You just made a face that... You know what, nevermind." He sat down beside me. "So, Ellie, let's learn a little bit more about you." I blushed. "So, what's your favorite color?!" He acted interested.
"Mirror." I acted like a four year old. "W.B.U.?!"
He laughed. "Black, red and white."
"Oh," I began. "So we're supposed to be serious, ahh, okay, gotcha'."
I began to be all quiet as I checked my phone. I could not believe I was still getting death threats on my birthday. Toby looked at me.
"Hothothothot..." He murmured.
I turned around, noticing he was staring at me. "What was that?" I smiled, politely.
"Oh, nothing." He took a sip of my cherry-cola. "What's your number, guuurl?" I laughed. This man is funny.
"Here, give me your phone." He passed it and I put my number in with the name "Ellie <3"
I returned it. "Awe, thanks. That's cute."
I laughed. "Now, text me." He put random words in.
I got a text, seconds later. I put his number into my phone. "Thanks, Toby." I smiled.
Toby and I talked, because good friends, then drifted apart as the night ended.
"Time to go home?" Jamie smiled to me.
"Yeah, sure." I passed her the keys. "You drive." We began to walk out of the restaurant when my phone buzzed.
